Two Wings
TwoWings Among Top Three Finalists for Minerva Award 2023
What does the Minerva Award stand for?
The Minerva Award honors businesses and individuals who are committed to promoting diversity in the economy and empowering women in business. The award is presented in cooperation with the business magazines Sheconomy and Weconomy and the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF).
Where did it start this year?
On March 26, at a gala event held at RadioKulturhaus, the Minerva Award once again brought dedicated women's advocates and pioneers to the stage. The nominees for the awards were chosen in November 2022 in six different categories, including Tech, Finance, Start/ Shooting Stars, Social Entrepreneurship / Sustainability, Community, and Role Model.
More than 150,000 votes were gathered until February 20th, and TwoWings was proud to be selected as one of the three finalists in the Social Entrepreneurship/Sustainability category.
Why TwoWings nominated for the Minerva Award?
TwoWings has been working towards social change through sustainable programs in 15 countries around the world for nearly 3 decades. By focusing on the education and empowerment of girls and women, TwoWings is contributing to one of the most sustainable investments and has a significant impact on the economy. As the Sheconomy Blog post highlights, "Every dollar spent on girls' rights and education yields a return of $2.8 - the equivalent of billions of dollars in additional GDP."
