Why Planting Hope?
Planting Hope
The TwoWings Foundation takes pride in supporting global education and tree-planting efforts through the Planting Hope program. Inspiring positive change for the betterment of the world is at the core of our mission. Through agroforestry, urban gardening, and educational programs, we aim to create sustainable development and ensure access to food sources for communities. Additionally, we strive to foster job opportunities for youth and families, as well as equal growth for women and girls. Program Objectives and Benefits
Environmental benefits
The main goal of "Planting Hope" project is not carbon offsetting, but to calculate that, if we consider the average lifespan of each tree as 10 years, this would mean that, over a 10-year period, one tree would approximately absorb 250 kg of CO2 and so 10 trees would absorb more than two tons of CO2. Expanding an agroforestry program in the region and planting trees helps recover nature, protects inhabitants, climate and biodiversity, provides food, wellbeing and materials.
Social benefits
Local residents get the chance to socialize, establish a common goal, consult, and explore together in this program which enhances community building and fastens community bonds.
Financial benefits
employability leads to economic growth and financial stability. People can sell more organic and nutritious products due to high quality in the local markets and have income growth.
Education
Education is a key component for making progress in all aspects of life. People can start agroforestry or turn their balconies or yards into a garden after getting the proper knowledge and training.
Sustainability
Agroforestry and urban gardening are sustainable practices that offer promising possibilities toward improving food security and implementing different land-use methods adaptable to the changes of climatic conditions.
Employment
One vital need of local residents is having job and income opportunities toward expanding local economy, inclusive growth, and advancement.
